Clubs for the Club

Because it’s the very first Club Worcestershire, the fabulous chefs at Brockencote Hall wanted to mark the occasion with a little something special, so they’re making us Mini ‘Club’ Sandwiches to be served when we start at 11.30ish… and there will be a vegan alternative too, of course 🌱

And considering these are coming from a kitchen with a long-standing 3 AA Rosette reputation, we’re talking rather posh Club sandwiches. Brockencote has also just begun an exciting new chapter for its food offering with the launch of its beautiful new Malvern Restaurant, led by Head Chef Tim Jenkins and focused on seasonal British ingredients, local produce, and seriously accomplished cooking.

New networking event, not a new idea

Club Worcestershire is new, but the idea behind it definitely isn’t. I’ve been running The Cotswolds Huddle since 2013, and over the years it’s grown into the loveliest community of businesses and people. I wanted to take everything that has worked so well there and bring the same tried-and-tested concept to Worcestershire.

So, if you’ve ever been to a Huddle, you’ll know exactly what to expect. And if you haven’t, here’s the important bit: Expect ∙

  • No elevator pitches
  • No speeches
  • No agenda
  • No forced introductions
  • No cost
  • And absolutely no standing up and telling a room full of people what you do in 60 seconds

You just come along, grab a coffee, talk to whoever you fancy talking to, catch up with people you already know, meet some people you don’t, and see where the conversations take you. That’s it. It’s friendly. It’s laid-back. It’s inclusive. And it will always be free.

Our very first venue is Brockencote Hall

Our first Club is being hosted by the fabulous Brockencote Hall, set in 70 beautiful acres near Kidderminster, with their superstar Wedding & Events Manager, Staci Williams, and I honestly couldn’t think of a lovelier place to get Club Worcestershire started or a lovelier person in charge.

And I’m also very happy to have Marie Carter of Queen Bee Communications lending her PR expertise and helping me spread the word to businesses right across Worcestershire.

Whether you run your own little business, work for a big one, are self-employed, employed, starting something new, have been doing it for decades, or simply want to get to know more people in the Worcestershire business community, you are very, very welcome. And there’s no need to tell us you’re coming, just rock up and join the chatter.

I really hope I’ll see lots of you there for the very first one ∙ Mette x
